Transcript

I was just thinking about Kanye West.

God bless Kanye West. I’m glad that there are people in this world like Kanye West.

People with huge personalities, just so over the top and it just makes it so easy for the media to blow everything they say out of proportion and make them seem like the bad guy, present this caricature of them to the world.

But in the end it doesn’t matter, people are gonna misunderstand us. What does it matter if they misunderstand and present us as a caricature when we’re that big? That we can’t be denied.

When we have such a big personality, a big heart.

I remember there was an interview, I think it was on that tabloid show….I don’t know I don’t really watch this stuff.

But they had him in the studio for an interview and they managed to get certain comments out of him.

It was like a 40 minute interview. He said something about slavery and the whole media took it out of context.

They’re like “Kanye West is saying that slavery is a choice.” They misrepresented what he was saying.

Its interesting anyway because why is that the part of the interview they focused on? That kind of sensationalism.

They ignore the parts of the interview where he’s saying what is more of a central message. He’s like “We’ve been trying hate for so long, why don’t we try love?”

It’s so obvious it’s something he really believes and is passionate about. You can see it in his actions in this interview because there’s a young black man on the other side of the room, one of the employees for this media organization.

And he;s so angry at Kanye for what his perception of Kanye is.

And Kanye is like “If I come over there, are you gonna punch me?”

And the guys like “I’m not going to punch Kanye West on national television.”

Kanye goes over and he gives the guy a hug.

He was for real, it’s not like he’s just hugging him for the cameras. You can see the genuineness.

Even now Kanye being reborn as a Christian he says “I once was lost but now I’m found.”

And he wants to love God even more and show this beautiful part of himself and not talk about bitches and hos or something.

This interview where he says “I’m going to have to rewrite those lyrics to I love it like….Gods such a…”

It doesn’t make sense… “God is so amazing..” I don’t know, change the lyrics to that.

God bless Kanye West. This guy is so over the top that people are going to misunderstand him. He goes to these extremes on one side and the other side.

It’s like it says in the bible when there’s somebody who has believed in God and followed God all of their lives, its’ great. It’s cool.

But when someone who has wandered from the past and strayed so far comes back and says yes this is right, I want to follow a righteous path.

I have that hunger and thirst for righteousness. I have seen the pitfalls and I now know so thoroughly good that I want to show love.

In that case, a thousands heavenly trumpets will ring out. A million clarion calls will rejoice to show the return of they say the other story about the prodigal son, the son comes back and he knows better than anyone how good it is to be good.

God bless Kanye West.

Thanks for listening, I’ll talk to you soon.
