Happiness Rockstar

Let’s talk about being a happiness rock star.

It’s something I think about.

The other night I went to karaoke. It’s really interesting because people have a few drinks and get up to sing.

You know its not always the person who hits every note perfect who gets the most applause.

Sometimes it’s just some wild rugged individual who just gets up and sings their heart out.

In that moment they just manage to let go of any inhibitions any preoccupations that they have about what people are going to think of them and they show everything that they have.

Of course the crowd will get up and applaud because they admire that, that authenticity. It’s what I want to talk about being a happiness rock star.

As you go through life maybe some bad things are going to happen to you. Maybe you’re going to keep rolling and figuring things out and maybe sometimes things aren’t going to be perfect for you.

Maybe sometimes you won’t have the perfect strategy but because you have that heart and spirit you’re going to persist!

You’re going to figure out ways to do things, ways to keep moving forward.

This is also the other thing like sometimes people have these goals, these half-assed goals that are like they want to be less anxious or less depressed.

Well what if we shoot for the stars, what if we aim for something wonderful.

My goal isn’t to be mediocre, if I’m going to live here and act out this life I want to do it right. I don’t want to be average, I want to be excellent.

I don’t just want to be satisfied, I want to be satisfied and happy, excited, emotional, elated and excited and joyful. A rock star!

But yes you continue and you have these things that happen to you. These trauma and problems and maybe some people when they look at you they’re gonna see your scars.

Or maybe the scars are in hidden places are not obvious to everybody.

Sometimes maybe you’re a bit self conscious about them but your heart shines through.

Rock and roll ain’t about being perfect but you can still move forward despite your perfections or even including your imperfections….because of your imperfections.

Many times we learn our imperfections grant us insight, allow us to be empathetic to others and our problems even become our strengths, the things which had held us back when understood properly become our gifts.

Go ahead you crazy rock stars, go ahead and play your heart and soul. Play that wild ever loving rock and roll.
