Episode 154
Maybe It’s Nothing
As we go about our days, we might find ourselves lost in thought. We worry about whether we turned off the oven or the water heater, whether we will meet the deadline, whether people will like us.
Perhaps it shouldn’t be a surprise that at some point during our day, suddenly there’s a burst of adrenaline from the sides of our spine, and we start to feel a little anxiety or even panic, wondering if there’s something urgent left to do.
In those moments, we can take a deep breath and remember… Maybe we will find the strength to face whatever arises, maybe we have that inner peace to handle all situations in the moment we require it. Maybe, in fact, there’s nothing to worry about at all, ever.
Maybe it’s nothing.

I was thinking about something that happens to me, I guess with some frequency, sometimes more during strange times of all sorts of things going on all over the planet. Increased solar flares or I don’t know what strange astrological, astronomical events are effecting us.
Entering our belly and causing anxiety.
Of course there’s a lot to worry about. Like your family, is your family gonna be ok? Is your health gonna be ok? Did you feed the dogs? Did you close the door? Turn of the stove when you left the house or turn off the water heater?
So many things, so many things to worry about. You can go on all day thinking about them if you like looking for more reasons to be anxious and increase your own level of stress if you want.
But of course you don’t have to do that and sometimes what happens throughout the day is we’ll suddenly receive a burst of anxious energy perhaps within my belly spurting out of my chakras, out of my hormonal glands, some sort of adrenaline pumping through my system.
I stop and I freeze and I say “what is wrong? What could possibly be wrong? What is there to worry about I must have something to worry about.”
And I think about the interview with my friend Giorgia Catt where she started to talk about letting go of panic attacks almost completely changing her life traveling to another country to ease into things and let go of her previous habits which enabled her panic or anxiety.
When she did that there would be a point in the day where she would wonder “What is going on? I feel anxious, what is it, what is wrong?”
And with some introspection she came to the conclusion the reason she was so anxious was because she had not panicked that day.
What a reason!
There we are just a bit outside of our comfort zone, we might find we are anxious because we are not uncomfortable enough according to our state of homeostasis, our natural state. Our momentum that we have in our spirits that want to keep us where we were.
Maybe, when maybe when one of these moments pop up because surely it will happen to many of you in the next day, week or year.
Something will pop in your mind and you will feel that burst of energy.
I want you, I ask you to remember the little phrase “maybe, just maybe it’s nothing.”
Maybe it’s something, maybe it’s something you have to do like take down a note so you can process that later.
Do the thing that needs to be done.
But maybe, maybe there’s nothing wrong at all and you’re fine and you’ll get through this. Maybe you have that inner strength to power forward.
Maybe your spirit is so grand that no one has seen it’s force.
Maybe the things you worry about, the burst of energy, just maybe it’s nothing.
Thank you for listening and have a wonderful day.
