Episode 191

Waiting for You to Ask

When we look for opportunities to help people, we might find that they complain about their struggle. Then we go out of our way to find some information or contact for them, only to find that they didn’t really want help. We might find that if we offer advice in that situation, they will actually get angry – they didn’t want to change anything about their actions, they merely wanted to express something about the situation they are in.

That is why many self-actualized people do not offer advice unless you ask for it, and even then they may be tentative, attempting to discern whether you really want to hear what they have to say.

You might imagine an angel or otherwise spiritually developed being, patiently waiting. Perhaps they have many things to do, but when someone prays to them in earnest, ready to receive their blessing… They will fly and run to assist.

Yes, the gurus, mentors and angels have all been waiting to help you. All you ever had to do was ask.

Welcome beautiful thinkers.

I’d like to talk to you about this idea of waiting for you to ask. Now what I noticed over the years some people will make their problems very public and it seems like they want help.

Many times I’ve gone out of my way to offer advice when it wasn’t asked for. What I find is people don’t want unsolicited advice. It doesn’t seem to be a very good idea.

Sometimes people find themselves in this situation where you’re a good person and you want to help but you don’t know that boundary what happens is you go out of your way for someone trying to get information or contact and it turns out they just say I didn’t really want that or something like that.

They put in all this effort to help someone and they didn’t really want it anyway. The request they made wasn’t a request, it was just something they mentioned in passing.

And it wasn’t a really valuable use of our time and they get very resistant when I offer unsolicited advice.

So I made it my 2020 resolution to not give people unsolicited advice unless they ask for it and even then I’m tentative.

I don’t think I’m the only one to come up with this code because this tends to be very common.

People need a certain place in their life in order to ask for help and be ready to receive help. I think this isn’t limited to humans. What I mean is I think its also a code that exists among higher spirits.

I went to see my friend Raquel a few months back, you might remember how I interviewed her about how she had multiple sclerosis and basically healed herself from that so Raquel is a kind of healer and she did a card reading for me and she did this sort of spiritual healing, I don’t know how to describe it. She told me if I’m ever in trouble in the darkness of night trying to sleep and see a presence in the room

In that case you can always call arch angel Gabriel. And I said, okay I’ll do that although it seems kind of strange.

You don’t have to take this literally but the point of this is if you imagine a very well developed being, a being very spiritual of great wisdom they might want to help you. They might want to help you so much, they might want to give you advice and lead you and guide you.

But they have that boundary that they will not offer you anything until you ask but if you ask they will give you any kind of wisdom you ask for. You just have to ask.

So many humans on earth are like this. You might think “I don’t want to bother this person or put them out.”

They might be waiting for someone like you to help them, in the right way. I don’t mean the way that’s going to inconvenience them to their own detriment but in ways that will enrich their lives as well. They might well be waiting fr you to call or contact or message them.

When they ask for help they might well be delighted that you came to them. What I found as well in my own life, I remember I was dating this lovely woman karla and we broke up. It was a bit difficult but I said to her “I know you don’t want to see me romantically and that’s fine. But what I said still applies, if you need anything, if you need help with anything let me know if I can find some contact or give advice or suggestions, let me know. Ill be happy to help you.”

What I found occasionally is that she did ask me for help and it was really sweet but the other side of this is often when we extend our help or we might be cautious about extending this offering to people saying come to me when you need help because we might be afraid people will take advantage of us.

But what I find more often is the opposite is true. We often help and the greater risk is that they don’t ask. It’s so funny to be so cautious to have people take advantage of us when they’re cautious to not take advantage of us.

But there’s this thing, I think so many gurus and great spirits on earth and in other realms are waiting for us to reach out and say please will you help me? They will come rushing because it is their pleasure to use their great power in that way.

Thank you for listening and asking for help when you need it. It’s a wonderful think to ask and a wonderful thing to offer help.
